Britain’s female unemployment rate in the first three months of this year has fallen to 3.7%, this is the lowest since records began in 1971.

Over the past five years the unemployment rate for men has fallen to 3.1% and for women has shown a similar fall over this period to 2.7%.

Wages have also risen by 3.3%, 1.5% above inflation, which is a good sign for the future in employment for men and women.
